 Why it is prescribed: It exerts selective peripheral H1 receptor antogonist and therby exerting its antihistaminic effect.

 When it is to be taken: The medication is taken orally.incase ogf allergic rhinitis 120 mgs is preferred.In the case of urticaria 180 mgs is taken.

 How it should be taken: It comes in the form of 30,120 and 180 mgs tablets.

 Special Instruction : Patients with known hypersensitivity should not take this drug.

 Side Effects : Drowsiness,fatigue,headache and dyspepsia are the common side effects of this drug.

 Other Precautions : Use with caution in the case of pregnancy.Contraindicated in the case of lactation and must be used in the case of old age.

 Storage Conditions : Store at room tempearture in a air tight container.
